30 Day Challenge, Day 24 - My Favorite Memory

What is My Favorite Memory? My favorite memory, to date, would have to be my wedding day. It was the one day that I will forever remember from beginning to end because of how wonderful each and every second was. I got the morning and early afternoon to spend with my family (we did the traditional thing and didn’t see each other until the ceremony) as the time came closer and closer for me to go from being a Rawson to becoming a Rawson Gerrety. I’m sure that there will be many wonderful and memorable days to come but this is by far the greatest moment in my life so far – and I have a feeling it will be at the top forever!

(The two pictures above were taken by my dad a couple of minutes after the ceremony)
(This is my favorite of all of the pictures that we got from our special day, it's just so romantic!)

Now a little wedding day background info: Paul and I got married in St Thomas, on the water, behind the Frenchman's Reef Resort. It was located really close to the cruiseship port, so that's why you can see ships in the background of a couple of the pictures above. We got married barefoot in the sand with only our families there to witness the big day - it was just perfect for us and we couldn't have hoped or prayed for anything more special.

(Both of my parents walked me down the aisle and this picture was taken as they are handing me over to Paul)
(This picture was taken the day after we got married and it's of the exact spot where we said our vows - what an amazing view!)
After the ceremony we headed to a restaurant that was also on the water and just a few yards away from where we said "I do":
*Just to give you an idea of how close to one another the ceremony and dinner were, follow the
blue arrows in the two below pictures:
Sorry if it's a little confusing, but hopefully you get the idea. Pretty close, huh?
Now for some pictures from dinner:

(My sister was the officiant at our ceremony - which was so very special - and my mom got this candid picture of us getting a little sister time)

(This one is of my dad acting silly with his pockets out wondering where all his money went - how cute is that!)
(Here we are cutting our cake - which by the way was soooo good, it was carrot cake with cream cheese icing)
(Here we are feeding each other the oh-so-yummy wedding cake)

(And finally, here we are hugging each other after eating the yummy cake)

Paul and I had such a wonderful, memory-filled, wedding day and we have our families to thank for making it so special.

Here's one last picture of the whole group at the same spot where Paul and I got married, and yes, we're all wearing ugly Christmas sweater attire (you'll hear more about that one later):
I hope you all have memories that will live with you forever!
Until Next Time,
XOXOXO
