Our Sweet Lula

It's so hard to believe that Lula was born on the 1st of November and it's already the 17th - has it really been 2 1/2 weeks?  Paul and I fall more and more in love with our sweet baby girl every single day.

We've taken so many more pictures, so I'll be sure to post them as soon as I get them downloaded to the computer.

Lula Edylene Gerrety Is Here!

At 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, November 1st, 2012, Lula Edylene Gerrety came into this world and she is the most amazing little baby girl ever!  I can't believe she's already been in our lives for over a week.

We've taken a million and one photos of her already - which I'll be sure to post once life begins to slow down a bit.  It's amazing how fast time goes when you have a precious baby to take care of :)

Now that my friend Andrea is back from her honeymoon she's starting to look through her professional pictures from their wedding in Toronto and she sent me a couple yesterday:

I can't wait for her to send me more of everyone that was in the wedding and attended the wedding so I'll be sure to post them as soon as she does :)

Life Update and Picture Dump

As is usual for us lately, life has been crazy - we've had our baby showers, I've been going to see the doctor every couple of weeks since Lula's due date is getting closer, Paul and I traveled to Canada this past weekend for a few days since I was the Matron of Honor in my dear friends wedding, we've been trying to get Lula's nursery together (the key word is trying), I'm finishing up my work travels before the doctor won't let me travel anymore, we found a wonderful pediatrician for Lula (which my doctor had been bugging me about the past few visits) and most importantly, Paul and I have been trying to find time to spend alone together before our lives are changed forever when our precious Lula gets here.  With as busy as we are right now, I can't imagine what life is going to be like once we're finally parents to our sweet little girl.

Hopefully life will be settling down a bit so that I can relax for the last month of pregnancy - I'm not too sure it's going to happen but one can always wish.  I seriously can't believe that I'm already in my 33rd week of pregnancy with only a few short weeks to go.  I have no idea where the time has gone and now before we know it Lula will be here and pregnancy will have been a very short time in my life.  SO CRAZY!!!

Random Thoughts and Shower Weekend

Since my first trimester was so rough I've really taken advantage of feeling good these past few months and I've tried exercising as much as I can since I know things will change drastically once Lula gets here.  A big part of my weekend workout routine has become walking 4 miles on Saturday and Sunday mornings with Paul  - and since Paul can't go anywhere without Teddy Bear, Teddy has been joining us on our long walks as well.  You might think that 4 miles is a long way for a small dog like Teddy but he isn't actually doing very much walking, he comfortably travels in the Outward Hound:

After our walk this past Saturday we had a busy day of preparing for a "Stock the Bar" shower for our friends Andrea and Drew who are getting married in a couple of weeks in Toronto.  I'm the matron of honor so we're looking forward to a little mini vacation to Canada before Lula makes her appearance.  Anywho, the shower was a blast - I hosted it with another of the bridesmaids, Reba, and she and I put our creative juices together in planning and I must say that it turned out great:

I wish I had done a better job of getting pictures of Andrea and Drew with all of the other guests but Reba was taking pictures too so hopefully she got a  few goods ones.

On Sunday we had another early morning walk - which almost didn't happen because of our late night "stocking the bar" :) - and then it was time to get ready for my Jacksonville baby shower.

I have the most amazing friends who put together a perfect baby shower filled with great food, good company and a lot of owls for baby Lula:

 All Paul really wanted off of the registry was the BOB - and my parents got it for us!!!

We had such a fun and busy weekend - I think I'll be catching up on sleep for weeks to come. 

Paul and I truly couldn't be more blessed with such amazing family and friends.  Thank you, times a million, to everyone who helped to make Lula's Jacksonville baby shower so wonderful!



3D/4D Image of Lula

This past weekend my parents were in town visiting for my Jax baby shower and I was able to set up my 3D/4D ultrasound appointment so that they could join us to get our first good glimpse of little miss Lula.  I have to tell you that if you aren't planning to get any 3D/4D photos please save the extra money and do it - it was AMAZING!!!  I couldn't stop smiling and crying the entire appointment, it was unlike anything I've ever experienced.  I think my dad even shed a few tears :)

How perfect is this picture, not only are Lula's eyes open a little bit but she's also sticking her tongue out and licking her arm - seriously, I think we have the most adorable baby ever.  We're so excited to meet our sweet little baby girl!
