Last minute, Papa G (Paul's Dad) decided to come and visit us in Jax for the weekend. It was both relaxing and fun filled. We had a great time hanging out at the beach (the weather was better than perfect) and catching up on times that we miss living so far apart.
While they were in town we also had the opportunity to go to a Civil War reenactment in Olustee Florida - which is about 45 minutes outside of Jax. Not only did we learn a whole lot about one of the Civil War battles but we also got some great photos to go along with it:
The Confederates Won!!!
It was such a special treat getting to see the reenactment!!!

KEY WEST
FYI: This entry is a bit overdue
Paul and I celebrated Valentine's Day a little early this year with a weekend trip to Key West - the Southern most US city. We had such a great time and the best part about it was that we used my hotel points to stay for free --- and even better they were fully booked of the 1 bedrooms so they had to upgrade us to a 3 bedroom hotel room. I'm not kidding you when I say that our hotel room was 3 times the size of our apartment and the bathtub in the master bathroom could fit 4 people comfortably. It was AWESOME!!!

Although the temperature was a wee bit chillier than we were hoping for, it was still an amazing Valentine's weekend trip!!!

Sad Times
Today is a really dreary day here in Northeast Florida. It stormed all night and it will probably continue to be rainy through the afternoon - not to mention it's freezing. In addition just about everyone at my office has been feeling a bit under the weather these past few days. That being said, I thought it only fitting to post a pic to fit the mood around Jacksonville:
I hope the weather is much sunnier in your neck of the woods!

Funny, Funny, Funny
The other night Paul and I had a dinner and game night with our friends, Weber and Olinka, and we had such a blast!!!
Dinner was delicious (Slider's never disappoints) and the game couldn't have been more fun (Scattergories) but the funniest part by far was when Olinka brought out her iPhone to show us the new app that she recently added. Here was the results:
Could it get any funnier???
This app adds about 300 pounds to a person after you take a picture. The funniest part to me is that if Paul should put on a few too many pounds it also seems that he will lose his hair. I had no idea that weight gain and hair loss were connected in any way - hee, hee!!!
