HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAULY!!!

Today, on this 30th day of November, my most amazing husband is officially 32 years of age - and boy-oh-boy does he get better looking with every single day!

Paul, I could never thank you enough for being the most loving, caring, compassionate and honorable husband that I ever could have prayed for.  Not only do you have the biggest heart but you also brighten the lives of all the people that you meet.

Here's to you Pauly and the way you keep me smiling, I love you!!!

I hope you have the most wonderful of birthdays, you deserve it!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a really great Thanksgiving at the family farm in Crestview.  About 20 Rawson family relatives came over to enjoy a yummy-to-my-tummy lunch which included my dad's world famous pecan pie and a new holiday favorite, cream cheese mashed potatoes - my brother came up with that one.

Paul and I got my dad a Thanksgiving hat that will join his growing collection of festive head wear.  Here's a couple of pictures with the new hat:

Isn't it awesome!!!

In addition to a great day with the Rawson clan, we also got to spend some time over the weekend with the Shull side of the family (my mom's side) and we all got some much needed quality time with my Nana (my mom's mom).  Paul and I love living in the Jacksonville area but during the holiday season I find myself thinking about how nice it would be living a tad bit closer to our families and getting to see them more than a few times a year.  Thankfully though, Paul and I are planning to head back home to see our families over Christmas and we're hoping that it will work out so we've got that to look forward to.

Here's one last picture that we got over the weekend - I love how the Auburn sign is hanging in the back:

I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving too and I'll sign off for today with a great big WAR EAGLE!!!

What am I Thankful For?

I love everything about the holidays: fellowship, family, togetherness, decorations, carols, friendship, love, the list could go on forever.

This year I have so much to be thankful for so I decided to make a short list of the top 5 things that I am most thankful for this 2010 Holiday Season:
1. The Lord
2. A loving husband (& Teddy Bear)
3. A supportive family (Rawson side and Gerrety side)
4. Wonderful friends
5. Good health

There are so many more things that I thank God for every single day but those 5 are at the tip top of my list.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday and that you remember to take the time to say "Thanks" to the Lord for all that you have to be thankful for.

XOXOXO

Work Travels, Date Night & a New Blog Page

I spent most of last week in Orlando at a big semi-annual meeting for my company.  These type of events are always so much fun but a little mentally draining at the same time.
Here's a few fun pictures I got while at the meeting:

I had such a great time while in Orlando, but the best part of it all was when I arrived home and found that Paul had gotten me a big bouquet of flowers and they were waiting for me on the dining room table as I walked in the front door.

He also treated me to a wonderful dinner date that we documented with more pics (as we always do):

(how adorable does he look in this one...always the goofball)
I love you so much, Paul, and thanks for treating me to such a special evening after a week of craziness with work.
In other news, Paul gave me a really fun idea...since we love all things food he suggested that I add a page to our blog with some of our favorite recipes that we try at home, as well as our personal ratings of the restaurants that we try all over the country/world in our many travels.  I'm not quite sure how it will look but keep an eye out nonetheless.

That's all for now, Happy Monday!!!

Roger Waters Concert

This past weekend my brother and I drove down down to Fort Lauderdale to see Roger Waters The Wall Live (Pink Floyd) and we had such a great time. Our seats were about as far away from the stage as you could get but it was still a really great view and show - and as an added bonus, we were only about 10 feet away from private restrooms, SCORE!!!

Here are a couple of photos that I got:

(This is just before the show started)

(this is just as Roger Waters was getting on to the stage)

(this one was taken sometime during the first half of the show)

(this was just before the show's intermission - you can see that the wall is completely built up)

(this one was the closest shot I got of the wall and some of the pictures that were displayed throughout the performance)

Like I said, we didn't have seats at all close to the stage (which you can see from the pictures) but we still had a great view and the best part was getting to spend quality time with my brother. I love you Scott!!!

SIDE NOTE: On our way home we passed about a million billboards advertising the McRib sandwich which reminded me about this website that I heard about where you can track down any McDonalds that sells McRibs near where you are (how sad is that). So, we decided to stop at the next McDonalds we found to see what the McRib was all about. We didn't want to eat the McRib, we just wanted to see what all the hype was about - I mean I've heard that there are people that will by 10 of them at a time and freeze them so they can enjoy them through the months that McDonalds doesn't sell them.

So, here's what the world famous McRib looked like:

How horrible is that? How is it possible to sell something and have the word "rib" in its name, when it doesn't actually have any ribs? And like I said before, we bought the McRib just so we could see what it looked like, not to see what it tasted like - fast food and Suzanne DO NOT go hand in hand!

And finally, just to put a smile on your face, a picture of me and Pauly:

Oh how I love being married to Paul!!!

That's all for now,

XOXOXO

Flash Back Friday

Here's a few photos from the past that I'm hoping will put a smile on your face: (sorry ahead of time for the blurriness of a few)

(me in the early years - gotta love the matching dresses)

(Paige and Scott while we were on vacation in Boston celebrating Paige's graduation from Furman)
(me in 9th grade - I'm not sure if you can tell, but that is a white scrunchy in my hair, yuck!!!)

(me and my sister chilling in the hammock with about 20 stuffed animals)

Oh how I love to remember the days when work wasn't the only thing I dreamed (had nightmares) about - just kidding :)

Happy Friday!!!

Bruni

Our friends Jacky and Bram recently became parents to an adorable little girl, Bruni. One night last week Jacky stopped by to let us hang out with her and Bruni and she took a great picture of me and Pauly with the beautiful baby girl:

Although she looks a little scared in that picture, I promise she was all smiles for us.

Congratulations to Bram and Jacky for having such a perfect little girl - ya'll are gonna be such amazing parents!

Teddy's New Sweater

I just had to brag a little bit about how our adorable little Teddy Bear is in his new 80's inspired muscle shirt, it doesn't get much cuter than this:

I also got some really adorable shots of Teddy sleeping in his favorite place to be (besides his crate)...in bed with us:

If you couldn't tell, his is the world to us!!!
That's all the news for now, so until next time,
XOXOXO

Date Night and Trader Joe's

A couple of weeks ago Paul and I went out on a double date with our friends, Drew and Andrea, to this restaurant that we love, love, love, Taco Lu and here's a couple of fun photos that we took while we were out:

Also, while we were in Atlanta we made our trip to Trader Joe's for some necessities and this time around I made sure to get some photos for all those who have yet to experience the amazingness that is Trader Joe's grocery store:

When Paul and I were living in California, Trader Joe's was our favorite place to stock up on food and grocery supplies. Not only do they have amazing prices on everything but the pre-made meals are to die for and it's mainly organic ingredients - not to mention it's the only place you can purchase 2 Buck Chuck.

Now that we're back in Florida the closest one to us is in Atlanta, so we make sure to make a quick stop by Traders each time we visit to stock up on all of our favorites.
Now we just need them to build one in Jacksonville!
